sorry if this is old news to you lot but it's new to me.

just found this http://www.powair6.com/index.php?id_product=1807&controller=product&id_lang=1

loved the dual sector gears back in the dark days of V2 gearbox builds.

couldn't resist ordering one to try out :)

You will experience high rof at the expense of fps/mps, but looks very interesting indeed

Not to mention the potential for extreme chopping because the mags can't keep up !

This scores a 9.5/10 on the "very bad idea O'meter" !
Please do not ask for discount as refusal often leads to offence....!

why -_-
If a company REALLY wants to impress the PTW community they should make a mag that feeds .36s up to 1600rpm reliably for at least 2 years, can be taken apart for cleaning, and costs less than $30 a mag

I hate my voice on film but i'll do a wee video of it in operation. don't think there will be much to say on it tbh.

as for a silly idea yeah i see your point and tbh you are probably right but its worth a try as I mentioned I loved DSG builds when I built AEGs so had to try.

I'd also be wondering if there will be no conflict between the teeth of the sector gear and the piston rack, as the piston will not certainly do the full course.

On this issue of the mag fails to track the speed of the nozzle also had already put here in conversation with my friend diips ...

I got to test a 14,8v Li-po and exactly what happened is that many of the bb's were chewed, and in the first shot, it always fired two bb's, which I believe is caused by malfunction of the active braking due to the 14,8v use...

But of course still waiting for a review of those who have actually experienced this dual sector gear.

greetings,

I have one of these and I have zero problems with feeding...

I use Standard OEM systema mags, and PTS Pmags. Neither have been modded or cleaned since I bought them either :o .

I did have to use an M165 spring to achieve an FPS of 340 with a .25g.

Using a 11.1v 2650mah 40c lipo I got a RPS of 41. And like I said earlier I have zero problems with feeding on all my mags. The fact that people experience problems feeding with a 12v and the M90 cylinder has always baffled me.

Not to mention this gear is made of better metal then the OEM sector gear and is stupid easy to install. I rate this a 7/10 on the Good idea meter, sorry Tac :D .

The only reason I did not score it higher is the fact that I have not been able to get over 340fps... Even when using a 30% spacer behind the spring. Any ideas?

Also the gun does not sound like it is straining at all, but that is probably due to the fact it has been tuned by Tac ;) .

Also the semi auto trigger response is even quicker than the already quick PTW when a DSG is installed.

FPS limits in the UK are around 360fps with a .2 including allowances so I'm happy with the spring set ups too.

I'm going to take a guess that a M150 will get me roughly where I need to be or wont take much adjustment from there.

I have a super max so I just used the M165 spring. I would love to get my hands on a Madmax spring if it could raise my FPS up to around 380 with a .25. But if not I will deal with a 20ft med.

The Max is a M150, the supermax is a M165, and I believe the madmax is a M170? Some one care to correct me if I am wrong.
