Postby Seiga on Thu Mar 23, 2006 12:19 pm

Hi,

Those are short mags for PTW
It has RS mag body.

The pen points lip. It makes better feeding when it touches a mag-catch.
Proto mag on the right has shorter lip. I have feeding problem with this one.

If you want to make it by yourself, I hope this helps .

Good luck !!!

Nice write up, but it looks like you have to do a lot of modification to the
internal magazine structure, could you explain more about that though?

Hi Titleist,
My friend made this mag for me.

Oh yes, It requires lots of works I guess.

He cut inner case into 3 pieces then glue them. It looks like a jigsaw puzzle.

Also, He reinforce out side of inner case with ABS plate.

He told me that most important part was making holes on the mag body at right place.

Do you want to try?

I have actually tried this. I did not take care of the parts that I testet with because I did not think it would work and I could get in hold of RS magazines.

I did not make such a mess of it when I cut it. I cut the middle of the magazine away. so I glued the bottom and top together with some middle part gone. It mathced very good and I think I had more bb`s then just 20. I think it was 30.

I posted on arnies I think it was.. Solo knows of my projects

The problem for me is that the 20 rnd and 30 rnd real M4/m16 magazines
are illegal, so obtaining the cases for this conversion aree problematic.

Seiga.. You ship me some short mags maybe?

It is legal here in Norway but hard to find since there is almost 0% M16 used in Norway.. And if I could find any it would be very expencive.

lol, Seiga, if you ever want to make some extra money and would
consider having 2-3 of those short mags made for me I'd gladly cover
the cost, if they were pre-modified they wouldn't be illegal to own in
California.
