Minor update on something already mentioned as a "snug fit"  but trying to install a RS "Ejection Port Cover Pin" in a PTW did not fit at all. I guess this is a part that varies among manufacturers.  The upper in question was an Olympic Arms A1 style.  Sorry I didn't get to measure it for reference...

Not unless they are rethreaded for 14x1mm which is the PTW's threading.  Real steel AR's are 1/2x28tpi

Dude.. look around first.  There's lots of MIADs in the photo section and there is even a guide how to do this that was posted not even a week ago.  Search first..!!

Funny thing about that.  My DPMS one has kinda worn in after a while.  It's not snug any more.

Thanks for the extra info - i'll update the list.

Bump.  Can someone re-sticky this please?  It moved down after I updated it.

Im looking to use a bushmaster upper on a prime lower.  my question is...Can I leave the RS foward assist in the RS Bushmaster upper? Also will a ptw dust cover fit on the RS bushmaster upper?

Yeah, you can leave it in.  You won't be able to push it ALL the way since it'll hit the cylinder, but it's good enough to block out dust and for appearance.

I'm pretty certain a PTW dust cover will fit RS, but I haven't personally tried it.

Yes, the dust cover fits. But you have to use the PTW spring, as it is designed to keep the dust cover closed, while the RS one is designed to keep it open. That, and the RS spring sits a little bit inside the ejection port and will scratch the sh*t out of your cylinder.

Just remember to put the dust cover on before you put the barrel nut on.
