Is it worse than Japan, Germany, and the UK?
Cause from what I've heard, all 3 of those countries are pretty strict on airsoft.
In Canada it's just difficult to get the gun IN the country (it's much easier now), but once it's in we can do pretty much anything we want with it

two things are required to import airsoft guns

1. it must have colored parts
2. the gun must have less than 0.2J of power
with 0.2J, basically your BB's will hardly shoot over 5 meters.
Some manufacturers put a "power break" on the spring to kill the power temporarily.
Not all manufacturers are willing to deal with this hassle.

Worse, not all government officers are aware of the above rule, and they could just declare that my PTW is a real firearm without even calling me, and then throw my PTW in a trash can. This actually happened to someone else.

Of course I can always get a brand new PTW from an airsoft shop, but be aware they sell Supermax Challenge Kit for $3300 and im not even sure if those are 2012's

Anyway, yea so as you can see it's pretty tough
