Max 07 strange problem

Postby testoboost on Thu Oct 06, 2011 9:50 am

Hello im new to this forum and new to the ptw world :D

Anyway i got a strange problem with my max..
When i use a 8.4v 1100mAh Dboys Nimh battery i can fire like 5-8 shots then it dies.I take out the battery and put it in, same thing happens..Same thing usually happens with systema 9.6V crane battery..

BUT when i use the G&P 7.4V lipo and 11.1V firefox battery it works flawlessly..

I`ve noticed that the sectorgear is turning about half a milimeter when it dies on 8.4V..When i use the standard crane battery it cycles and stops at a different position..

I use The blue cylinder with a M/90 sping..

Hope this helps!
;)

i`m not that pro! but i think your motor is gone.... if that is ok (tackleberry would say exactly what it could be) you have to send him your motor ;) then you`ll have something from hell!
I have 7 friends and they run faster than you!

Usually a good sign the commutator has worn through. This will happen on older high usuage PTW's.

Mind you, being as it's a GEN III it's possible on of the MOSFETS on the EL-003 has burnt out, which isn't uncommon.

Ok.From what i understand The El-003 is the first electrical board in the buffer tube? correct?..As you say ONE of the mosfets, i guess its interchangeable? or do i have the replace the The hole shebang?

And if, where do i get it?

Thanks :D

You need to determine which is at fault. The law of sod says that if you do one it will be the other that's at fault.

In either case the trail ends, or starts at my front door. The motor can be repaired if required, or I can supply you with the EL-003.

You could of course be really unlucky and need both attending to...!

You`re help is much appreciated.Since i live in sweden im gonna look for an easier alternativ then sending the motor to you or get an El-003 from you..For now..

Anyway, I will be around..Very likely i will send you a pm in the near future.

Again many thanks! ;) Good forum BTW! :D
